LYNDEN HOLIDAY CELEBRATION

Holiday festivities will start in Lynden, WA this year with a variety of activities to do around town like a Holiday Gift Bazar, Artisan Showcase & Holiday Faire, Lynden Fire Dept. Spaghetti dinner & much more!

There will be an exciting “Elf on the Shelf”elf-on-the-shelf scavenger hunt that will start at 1pm to 5:30 pm. Visitors need to find the elf in businesses downtown, text the code to an assigned phone number and your name may be drawn to win a pile of Christmas gifts!

The Lighted Christmas Parade starts at 6pm from Fairway Center and goes across town on Front Street. Visitors are treated to holiday carolers and a dazzling display of lighted trucks, cars, floats, wagons and farm equipment. Make sure to stop by our office on Front Street (The Muljat Group North) and warm up with a free cup of soup made by our wonderful Realtors!

Immediately following the parade, there will be a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony (Front St and 4th St.) sponsored by Puget Sound Energy.

Highest Home Sales Since 2009

An article in the Bellingham Herald reported that this past month in February, home sales were at its highest since November of 2009. The home sales rose about .8 percent to adjust the annual rate to 4.98 million. This is an excellent sign that the housing market is strengthening, and it is an encouraging factor for sellers to place their homes on the market. Also, last month there was a 10 percent increase in the existing homes being available to sell.
