PIONEER PARK – Discover Whatcom County in 365 Days

Located in the heart of Ferndale, WA, the Pioneer Park Cabins were built in 1901 by the Whatcom Old Settlers Association. These cabins were preserved to celebrate the pioneer tradition and were later opened up to the public by the Ferndale Heritage Society. Today, you can visit the cabins and find Pioneer Headquarters, the Congregational Church, the Granary, the Lynden Jail, and many other original buildings and homes!

On Friday, December 2nd from 5-9pm, the Olde Fashioned Christmas celebration will take place at the historic Pioneer Park cabins. This annual tradition is hosted by members of the Ferndale Heritage Society who dress up in traditional pioneer costumes and reenact how the ancestors celebrated Christmas years ago in those same cabins! It’s a celebration for the whole family; you won’t want to miss it!
